Data Engineer

MBN Solutions are partnering with one of Europe’s most exciting Data Science companies to recruit Data Engineers to join their Data Science and Machine Learning function based in Antwerp.

Having grown rapidly over the last 5 years, my client has a Data engineering function across Belgium, Lithuania and Canada. They are now building state-of-the-art innovative computing structures for solutions tailored to people’s behaviours, based on real time insights gained through IoT sensor data collected through smartphone sensors, wearable sensor and in-home sensors.

You will have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects including smart mobility, connected health, smart home, smart city and connected cars, within a fast-paced, high growth working environment, alongside a team of talented Data Scientists.

Requirements:

• Background in software engineering using Java or Python
• Practical experience with software engineering best practices
• Experience with distributed computational frameworks using Kafka and Spark
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Cloud technologies is highly desirable – AWS is preferred
• Experience working as part of a Data Science function is desirable
